About Palome

Palome is a modern luxury fashion brand built on a sustainable foundation. By working with the same world-class factories trusted by leading fashion houses, they create refined, high-quality garments with a lighter footprint. Their vision blends ethical production with elevated design, making sustainability a core part of the luxury experience.

Palome partnered with Bitcube to help establish their online presence through an eCommerce Shopify site. They needed an eCommerce experience that felt as considered and premium as their garments, an experience that could stand alongside the industry’s biggest names while supporting the unique mechanics of their business model.

The Challenge

Before partnering with Bitcube, Palome was in the early stages of preparation and pre-launch. With a lean team focused on product and operations, they needed strategic input, particularly around selecting the right tools and integrations to build a low-overhead, efficient platform that could run without a large in-house tech team.

As a newly launched brand, they also needed a partner who could move fast without compromising on quality. Time was tight, and everything, from brand identity to digital infrastructure, still had to be built from the ground up.

A key requirement was to deliver a premium user experience, including advanced features seen on leading fashion sites. This included a custom virtual queuing system to manage traffic during high-demand drops, without relying on expensive third-party solutions.

Our goal was clear: define a distinctive brand identity through UX/UI, build a premium headless storefront with a custom queueing experience, choose the right tools for long-term efficiency, and deliver all of it in time for launch.

Our Solution

To launch with impact, we kicked off with research and UX/UI design to define Palome’s brand identity and full wireframes. We then built a headless storefront using Shopify Hydrogen, React, and Tailwind, delivering a high-end, dynamic user experience.

We also developed a bespoke queuing system to support their drop-based model, allowing customers to join waitlists, refer friends, and earn priority access, fully managed by the Palome team.

Sanity CMS was integrated to handle rich content and complex product pages, with a bespoke preview mode for easy editing. All delivered in time for launch, giving Palome full control over their site and operations.

Key Features of the Project:

  • A headless storefront built with Shopify Hydrogen.
  • Full UX/UI design, including wireframes and brand identity.
  • Sanity CMS for rich content and complex PDPs.
  • Bespoke preview mode for easy content editing.
  • A custom queuing system for drop-based product releases.

The Results

Palome went from no storefront to their first order in just six weeks, including a full site redesign in the final two. In the first month post-launch, they processed over 150 orders, with momentum growing steadily.

The custom queuing system proved its worth early on, managing 1,000+ waitlist signups and supporting a high-touch, controlled launch experience. Site performance remained strong throughout, with sub-2-second load times across all pages, delivering not just a luxury brand but a luxury user experience.

Client Testimonial

“We have worked with Bitcube for 4 years, and continue to be impressed by their capability, customer service and strong work ethic.”

“A few things that stand out for me are their efforts to understand our business and their appreciation that customer experience has a massive impact in our operation.

Another one is their technical capability in that they can actually do the incredible things that they promise, which sounds simple, but very rarely is. At the start I thought ‘if this system does what these guys say it’s going, it will be phenomenal.’ And although I didn’t believe them at the start, it has done everything and more than they promised!

Bitcube has built a fantastic team of developers, and we will no doubt be continuing our relationship with Bitcube into the future. As we are UK based, when starting the project our biggest concern was about working remotely. However, this concern proved to be unfounded – collaboration and communication has been fantastic. When needed, we have been able to have daily calls and numerous screen-share sessions and we have also been able to catch up during their visits to London and my visits to their offices.”
